Professional Experience

I was admitted as an advocate in 2003 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In a country that is multi-cultural and diverse in its approach to dispute resolution, I chose to focus on resolving disputes through mediation and negotiation since 2010. 
 I subsequently founded Fair Practice Mediation and Negotiation Consultancy (Pty) Ltd to provide legal care for disputants who prefer an affordable and confidential approach to handling disputes. Since 2014, I became a trainer for various organisations in mediation and negotiation, with over 100 professionals as my delegates thus far. 
 I am currently the lead trainer for the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa, endorsed by the University of Pretoria, in mediation and negotiation. I still remain active in my practice as a mediator ensuring due process and mediation principles are upheld in all my mediations.

Style & Approach

I am constantly improving my understanding of mediation through research and accreditations to maintain international standards of practice and teaching for the benefit of my clients and delegates. My approach to mediation is to be flexible, while at all times ensuring a fair process to maintain impartiality and confidentiality. I subscribe to a blended style of mediation, working with what is appropriate in a particular dispute. For me, it is imperative that all participants are heard and for them to understand that the process of mediation will bring about a realistic outcome.
