Accreditations

Singapore Accreditation

ADR ODR International is proud to be working with SIMI and is the first organisation outside of Singapore to be given RTP, RSP and QAP status. The Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) was incorporated on 15 July 2014 as a non-profit organisation and is supported by the Ministry of Law. SIMI is a subsidiary of the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is housed at the NUS Faculty of Law.

It is headed by an international Board of Directors with representatives from both mediation practitioners as well as corporate users of mediation. SIMI works closely with both domestic and international mediation bodies and is partnered with the International Mediation Institute (IMI). The IMI is a non-profit public interest initiative to drive transparency and high competency standards into mediation practice across all fields, worldwide.

SIMI aims to apply and enforce world-class standards of mediation, to provide impartial information about mediation, to make tools available to parties to make basic decisions about mediation, and to promote mediation education and awareness.

The strong sense of purpose that ADR ODR international and SIMI hold align our core principles and values that are imbedded in promoting mediation education and pluralistic discourse. We are honoured to be working with SIMI and hope that the synergy between both organisations will support further transformative development in the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Our civil/commercial mediation courses are now accredited by SIMI which means that following successful completion of the course, delegates can become a level 1 SIMI accredited mediator. With the importance of the Singapore Mediation Convention (due to be signed in August 2019), this accreditation confers a new bench mark for standards of excellence in mediation courses and practice.

 University of Lausanne

Through our collaboration with the University of Lausanne and its Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in International Business Disputes (CAS IBD) programme, participants who enrol in the DDRS Diploma with ADR ODR International will also have the opportunity to earn credits towards the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from the University of Lausanne. The study plan has been carefully aligned to ensure that key components of the DDRS Diploma, such as International Arbitration, Mediation, and Negotiation, contribute directly to the CAS IBD requirements. This means that by completing the DDRS Diploma, participants not only gain the skills and certifications offered by ADR ODR International but also make significant progress towards earning the prestigious CAS in International Business Disputes from the University of Lausanne.

This unique dual-credit system provides a streamlined path for professionals seeking to enhance their qualifications in both digital and international dispute resolution. If, after earning 10 ECTS in the framework of the CAS IBD, you meet the University of Lausanne’s admissibility criteria for the LL.M. in International Business Law, you may wish to complete another 50 ECTS (approximately 10-12 courses and an LL.M. Thesis) to earn an LL.M. (Master of Advanced Studies) at the University of Lausanne. For more information please see www.unil.ch/llm.
