Responsibilities relating to mediation
I have represented a number of clients in mediations on commercial and family matters and I find mediation a very effective tool for unpacking the parties’ views on settlement and forging an agreement, thereby avoiding the costs of lengthy and often times expensive litigation.
Mediation Style
Mediation is something I believe works very well in creating an excitement to settle, considering respective settlement positions in detail (and commercially and practically), and allowing the parties to share views in the hope that settlement can be achieved. As a mediator, I hope to walk the parties to an effective settlement that brings the dispute to an end and leaves them satisfied that the matter has now concluded.
