Style & Approach
My modus operandi in life, is drawn from my personal experiences, and has always been ‘we can talk this issue through’.
I draw from the rich and diverse experience gained through life/ working life and mix it with great passion and empathy to work in an open and non-judgmental manner. I use the knowledge and skills gained from my experience of the range of mediation styles and adapt my style to work with the partys’ in front of me, as each case is unique.
I recognize the importance of establishing trust with each party in an impartial and non-judgemental way. For me it’s importance to give a clear explanation of the mediation process, principles and styles to all involved, particularly for people experiencing mediation for the first time with respectful awareness of partys’ anxieties and concerns about participation.
I am very mindful and respectful of the fact that every individual is unique and that they bring different experiences and narratives that have helped shape their world view. I am also very conscious of the affects power imbalances can have on an individual and work to support and enable a balanced share of time to allow all partys’ to express their point of view.
