My personal style is to work in collaboration with parties to really understand their perspectives, needs and desires. I prefer to listen, understand and ensure my understanding is correct. I like to ensure that participants are at ease with the process and are able to unburden themselves fully. Dispute resolution is not easy, no matter which chair you are sitting in – my aim is always to ensure that participants feel listened to, understood and not judged – it’s about you not me.
