Style & Approach
I am a dual qualified Barrister, practicing Solicitor and Mediator. I have a wealth of knowledge diffusing volatile situations by using mediation within the criminal justice system, which has allowed me to bring a unique approach to the field of civil/commercial mediation. I approach mediation with a pragmatic understanding of what is needed by the parties during which can often be a very difficult and emotive time for those involved. Whilst being future focused I am an active listener who appreciates and adopts William Ury’s idea of the ‘Power of Listening’ as an essential part of the communication process. It has often been said by my colleagues that I possess the ability to create empathy, which often allows the parties to feel relaxed and cooperative.
