Course Overview
As the country prepares its journey towards more consensual dispute resolution, AOI India aims to play a vital role in promoting and developing Indian Mediation, Arbitration and Negotiation, both nationally and internationally.
The 6-Day Civil/Commercial Mediation Training offered by ADR ODR International is a unique opportunity to enhance your career on a global scale and embark on the path to becoming a Certified Mediation Practitioner.
Our programme is written and delivered by our pool of global experts who have decades of alternative dispute resolution experience. Successful completion of the programme will allow you to gain the status of ‘ADR ODR International Accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator’.
Our programme is recognised by the UK Civil Mediation Council (CMC) and certified by International Mediation Institute (IMI). This gives it an internationally recognised kite mark of excellence; this means that our graduates obtain a prestigious qualification and have greater opportunities to begin their mediation practice in multiple jurisdictions across the world. Our course is also accredited by the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), which means that our delegates can apply to become a SIMI Level 1 mediator.

Course Aims
The course aims to teach each delegate the theoretical and practical skills needed to become a successful Civil/Commercial Mediator.
Course Details
Our course runs for 6 days and will cover some of the following topics; the history and future of mediation, the psychology of conflict, negotiation and cultural context. The course also covers the various stages of a mediation and with the supervision of a trainer each delegate is guided on how to successfully navigate each stage effectively.
Following completion of the theoretical and practical stages, each delegate will have the opportunity to implement the skills they have acquired by conducting a full mediation before the final assessment day.
This training can be completed in Hybrid Format: Hereby, the first three days are held online via Zoom for everyone and the second three days are in-person. You can choose your location when our global faculty visits India for the In-Person Training.
The training can also be done completely online and this allows the participants to interact with delegates from different countries and build an international network while being based in India.

- 27th–29th January 2025 (Online) and 24th–26th February 2025 (In-person in Mumbai, including revision)
- 19th-24th May 2025: Online Only

DDRS Diploma
Did you know that this course is one of four courses that make up the DDRS Diploma? By completing this course, you gain specialised skills in dispute resolution while also earning credits towards the prestigious Certificate of
Advanced Studies (CAS) in International Business Disputes from the University of Lausanne (subject to meeting the university's requirements).
