I want the parties that I mediate to think of me as a sympathetic ear as everything said to me is in utter confidence. I want both parties to feel free to say anything they like even if outside the issue in dispute to help them move forward with the mediation process as it lightens the load and pressure of the dispute and makes the experience of mediation more productive.
