AOI Mentorship Programme
Course Overview
With the passing of the Indian Mediation Act 2023, India is all set to become a significant player in the Mediation Landscape. Mediation is going to be soon integrated into the Indian Legal System and it is paramount for law students and young lawyers especially, to thoroughly understand everything that entails this process in order to be the successful “lawyer of tomorrow”.
To prepare them for what’s coming, we are delighted to offer the Indian Legal Fraternity, a one-of-a-kind mentorship programme
that is carefully curated to help participants navigate the world of mediation and find their place in it.
“The greatest value of a mentor is to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them
navigate a course to their destination”- John C. Maxwell
This is all that the AOI Mentorship Programme stands for. It intends to provide a thorough understanding of mediation as a process and practice and its relevance both in India and globally. It will provide Indian law students and lawyers with
exemplary international exposure and help them thoughtfully take the next steps in their careers.
It will be delivered by a pool of mentors who bring to the table, impeccable international standing and years of invaluable experience. Each Mentee based on their interest areas, will get the opportunity to have a one-on-one guidance session
at
the end of the programme with one of the Mentors whose specification aligns with the Mentee's interest areas.
The Mentees will also be given an opportunity to commission research papers
which will be published in the
AOI Journal which attracts substantial global readership throughout the year.
Successful completion of the mentorship programme will allow students to gain the status of ‘The AOI Mentee’.
This is the first step towards their journey of obtaining significant international accreditations
through stages of training and courses offered by ADR ODR International.
